Types of braces we offer
Braces have come a long way. They are smaller, more comfortable and more discreet than most people expect, and they remain one of the most reliable ways to straighten teeth.
Classic braces
Our most robust and most affordable option: small, low-profile traditional metal braces, highly effective from simple cases through to the most complex. Subtler than they used to be, with the option of fun colours.
Clear braces
Tooth-coloured braces that blend in. We use LightForce, custom 3D-printed clear braces, for a precise fit and a discreet look. A favourite with adults and older teens.
Clear aligners
Removable, near-invisible trays that suit some milder cases. We will give you a straight answer on whether aligners or braces will give you the better result.
We are independent, so we recommend the appliance that fits your teeth and your goals, not one brand. For many cases, braces remain the most predictable way to get a great result.
How much do braces cost in Auckland?
Every mouth is different, so the final fee depends on how much work your case needs. As a guide:
From $4,500
Shorter treatments focused on the front teeth or minor alignment, where the bite is already sound.
From $9,900
Full correction of crowding and the bite, individually quoted to your case after a specialist assessment.
Your exact fee is confirmed in writing after a specialist assessment. Payment plans are available to spread the cost, and we are a Southern Cross Affiliated Provider. See the full breakdown on our pricing page.
Braces for every age
Children
Sometimes a short early phase of treatment guides the jaw and makes things simpler later. We will only start when the timing is right.
Teenagers
The classic age for braces, once the adult teeth are through. Classic and clear options, with colours on offer if they want them.
Adults
It is never too late. Discreet clear braces and clear aligners make adult treatment easy to fit around work and life.

How much do braces cost in Auckland?
Simple and cosmetic treatment starts from around $4,500, and comprehensive treatment from $9,900. Because every mouth is different, your exact fee is quoted in writing after a specialist assessment. Payment plans are available, and we are a Southern Cross Affiliated Provider.
How long does treatment with braces take?
Most cases take somewhere between twelve and twenty four months. Simple cosmetic cases can be shorter, while complex bite corrections take longer. You will be given a realistic timeframe for your own teeth at your work-up appointment.
Classic or clear braces, which should I choose?
Both straighten teeth equally well. Classic braces are traditional metal braces, the most robust and usually the most affordable. Clear braces, like our LightForce custom braces, are tooth-coloured and far less noticeable, which makes them popular with adults and older teens. We will talk you through the trade-offs at your assessment.
Are braces or clear aligners better?
It depends on your case. Braces are versatile and very reliable, including for complex movements. Clear aligners suit some milder cases and can be removed for eating and cleaning. As a specialist we recommend the right tool for your teeth rather than promoting one product.
Can adults get braces?
Yes. A large share of our patients are adults. Teeth can be moved safely at almost any age, and discreet options like clear braces or clear aligners are popular with adults who would rather keep treatment low key.
Do braces hurt?
Having braces fitted does not hurt. Teeth can feel tender for a few days after fitting and after each adjustment, which soft food and ordinary pain relief settle quickly. Most people are surprised by how manageable it is.
