Open Bays • Safety • Privacy
Our clinic operates using partitioned open bays. Due to safety concerns for our patients and staff, and to protect the privacy of other patients, only patients are permitted into the treatment bays. Everyone else attending, including parents and caregivers, are requested to wait in the waiting area while treatment is in progress. If you/your child are unable to attend treatment appointments on your own please speak to our management team. We operate a separate service where a Registered Chaperone of your choosing can attend with you/your child during specified non-peak times (typically between 11 am to 1 pm). If this service does not suit you unfortunately we may not be able to adequately serve you. In such instances, we will assist you in finding another orthodontic clinic that may better suit your specific needs.
Illness • Cold Sores • Lip Lesions
If the patient receiving treatment has cold/flu symptoms, or has a visible lesion on the lip resembling a cold sore, we kindly ask you to reschedule your appointment. If you attend with cold/flu symptoms or a lip lesion, we will not be able to see you/your child on the day and will reschedule you/your child until you/your child have healed fully.
Oral Hygiene
Before every appointment, you/your child must brush your teeth and gums before coming to see us. This must be done at home, school or work immediately before the scheduled appointment. If oral hygiene is extremely poor when you/your child attend we will need to reschedule your appointment.
Broken or Loose Parts
Hard, sticky, and crunchy foods must be avoided if you have braces. If you/your child have excessive broken or loose brackets (greater than 8 brackets during treatment), then we will charge a fee for repair/replacement Please see your treatment plan for current charges.
Late Arrivals
Our clinic aims to run on time, every time. If you/your child arrive more than 5 minutes late for your appointment, you may need to wait until we can see you, or we will have to reschedule your appointment to avoid inconveniencing other patients who have arrived on time. If you fail to attend your appointment without informing us, we will reschedule your appointment and a fee may be payable.
Filming • Photography • Security
Security of our patients and staff is a priority. We have security cameras recording visual and audio data at all times. We know it can be exciting seeing the changes in your loved one's smile but we ask that patients and visitors do not film or take photographs while attending our clinics. We value patient and staff privacy. There is risk that there are people in our clinics who do not wish to be filmed and we wish to protect their privacy and wishes.
